As Executive Chef, Jason Harper incorporates a world of experience and a lifetime of passion into his menu at Trio. Jason’s career began with a couple of summers working in the kitchen of Lawry’s the Prime Rib in Dallas as a teenager. From there his career carried him from places like Jason’s Deli and Cracker Barrel all the way up to the acclaimed Abacus in Dallas and Central Market’s cooking school in Fort Worth. Along the way Jason gained experience as a tournant, a saucier, a sous chef, and a manager. With these well-rounded culinary skills and his passion for all global cuisine Chef Jason is ready to make an impression in DFW with Trio.
Trio’s Executive Pastry Chef, Miriam Harper, brings with her a dazzling combination of training and experience. The foundation for Miriam’s training began at the Culinary School of Fort Worth, and continued when she moved to Austin to pursue a degree in pastries from the esteemed Le Cordon Bleu Texas Culinary Academy. With experience spanning from lamb-shaped cakes for family Easter celebrations, to many tasty deserts as Assistant Pastry Chef at Abacus in Dallas, to beautiful wedding cakes as Executive Pastry Chef at Mediterranean Villa in Arlington. This training and experience, as well as her boundless portfolio of dazzling cakes, cupcakes, and deserts make Chef Miriam an exciting addition to Trio.
